Unmasked, Week 4: "You're so purty... STAHHHP ITTTTT"

Hey guys (: Here-- have a progress picture (:   We're down the the final leg of the New Year's Dare.

UNMASKED: Week 4

In regards to the title of this post... I see that all over the place--- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter... even in person.  And I don't really know what to make of it.

I could insert that internet meme with Boromir...

HA...couldn't resist. XD

My point is... that when people say that, how do you take it?  I know they're kidding most of the time, but it's also like when people say stuff like "ugh, you're so pretty and talented you disgust me"...
Really?
I mean, I guess I could categorize myself as a semi sensitive person...And all I feel like saying when someone says something like that is "aww... hopefully I don't disgust you too much..."

But honestly... is there truth to the "many a truth is said in jest" thing?  Joking aside, why would people want you to "stop" being good at something you love?  Why "stop" being naturally attractive?  (for those of you gifted out there (; ) Why "stop" anything about yourself?  I mean, of course you can just laugh/shrug it off... But doesn't it make you feel the teensiest bit off about about yourself?

I guess it all comes down to this.  No one can/should tell you what to "stop".  "Stop smoking"? Sure.  "Stop being annoying"? Sure.  "Stop eating the Klondikes I JUST BOUGHT"? (heh... whoops...)  Sure.  But
"Stop being your beautiful unique self"?
I think not.

Because one does not simply... stop being beautiful.
