Snowed In! (Again....) Might as Well Laugh at Sochi and Make Roses.

Well well well.

Here we are again... It's always such a pleasure...

I look outside my window right now and see over a foot of snow on the ground and on my back porch, glistening in the moonlight.  It doesn't even look dark outside right now due to all that white.  The trees are covered in it, too.  It all looks so pretty.  The legit Winter Wonderland.

Enjoy this accurate picture from Accuweather.com.... This is about what the trees look like in my backyard just about now... :D.
We were hit pretty hard yesterday with snow starting around 7pm and basically continuing all throughout the night.  It was a purty awesome sight to wake up to.  And right now it seems to be continuing... the snow just won't stop!  Not like I'm complaining, or anything.
School was cancelled today and it has also been cancelled for tomorrow.

That's only slightly annoying.... simply because Valentine's Day.  :/
It makes things a bit harder....
Speaking of Valentine's day... I got some fun things for J... :D.  I'll have to keep it a surprise for now, simply because he reads my blog from time to time.  (;

Anyways.  Today was a lazy day... I woke up late, and had a long shower not long after waking up.
I did a bit of homework, and then spent the rest of my time doing random artsy things.  I made a slough of paper roses, simply because I could and because I found this amazing trick to it that will almost garantee you a gorgeous rose every time.  If you wanna learn how to do it, click here. (:  It's fun to do, too!  Though it's kinda time consuming... I feel like each flower took me about 5-10 mins.

But look what I ended up with! :D.

I used kinda hot pink printer paper as well as a pale pink, though due to the lighting it looks like variations of peach.  You can make these with any colour paper though, and they will still look amazing (:

So yeah.  That took up a fair chunk of my day... pulling things together and then making those little beauties.  There was some more homework doing sprinkled in there... and then I went on a cleaning rampage in my room.  I'm the type of person who will let their room get messy to a certain extent and then will go crazy if things get too bad.  When things get too bad and I near almost reach my breaking point, I have to do something about it.   So I did.  And my room is now tidy once again.  I have fended off the beast known as "Durcheinander"-- German for "chaos" or "hodgepodge" or in this case, my out-of-control room.  (;  Needless to say I had music blasting the entire time, so it was uber motivating.
All this while the storm rages on outside....

I think it was a pretty productive day.  (:

This is just a fantastic picture I found today-- brought to you courtesy of the Huffington Post.  Snow just makes everything SO PRETTY!!!  Also... I think I should add "make snow angel in front of a DC monument" to my bucket list... (;

Also... Just a random thing I thought was funny..... We're getting all the snow here while they're having a heat wave in Sochi... I hope the skiiers have enough snow to ski on!  And SPEAKING OF THE OLYMPICS....   SNL did a really funny skit that I have watched over and over... A fictional small-town (or village, I should say) woman is interviewed about the Sochi Olympics and Russia in general.  You can get in on the hilarity here  (:

Annnnnd lastly.

For those of y'all stuck in the storm... be safe, have candles/batteries/flashlights/radio on hand, don't use up your toilet paper, and don't go outside unless you're going to build a snowman or make a really really deep snow angel (;
