Letters From a Beach Bum: Day 10

Hey y'all. (:

So it made me really happy that I put pictures in the Day 9 post... it made the post seem so much more interesting to me! ....And probably for you guys...! XD

I'm hoping to continue the tradition in this post of Day 10 (:

Thoday started with a late breakfast...seeing as I woke up at 2pm.  That's what happens when you don't end up going to sleep until around around 5:30 AM the night before...  :P

But that's okay.  Things worked out.  I got my 8 hours of sleep XD

This morning we had the usual breakfast (still a race of the turtles, lol) and then we got down to the beach.

It's gorgeous right around dusk(ish):

That's how I set up camp-- a huge towel on the warm, squishy sand (:

 Spent a relaxing time in the gorgeous weather...  until I decided I was going to run up and down the beach.  It had been a sudden urge of mine.  Sadly, I haven't really gone running for exercise all summer pretty much in a while.  So I thought "huh, running on the beach is good for you!  I'll do that!" Plus, the wind was great, the temperature beautiful... the waves gently lapping on the shore... I kicked off my flip flops and put in my headphones and ran.  It was nice.  Up until the part where I feel a tugging on my shirt from behind.  I whirl around and I see Boo behind me.  She sprinted after me and had followed me.  I made sure mom had said it was okay for her to be running off with me, and then we continued running down the beach.  It was nice for a while-- until it got dark.  We had gone too far down the beach, and it had gotten dark.  We ran back the direction we came, but it was almost impossible to see where our chairs/towels were left on the sand... so we wandered around for a while kind of lost.  We found our parents eventually though, which made Boo really happy.  She was beginning to get scared :/


But it turned out all right.  So that was good.

We headed up towards the condo, and stopped at the pool for just a little bit, while my dad did maintenance on our car-- one of the front headlights had burned out :/  But after that was fixed....

The night ended with one more visit to Tequila Mockingbird, where we ordered tacos from their Tuesday promo of tacos for $1.25.  Good stuff (:

I spent a little more time before sleeping talking to my best friend who's back in VA (where I am not :/ ) and I must say... I miss her a lot :/

But it's day 10.  And I'll be home soon.

At the same time, I don't wanna wish away my time here, either.... I mean, look how pretty it is.. lol.

Anyways.  Here's to more adventure coming up!  Hopefully! (:
