Letters From a Beach Bum: Day 14

Well folks.  Here you have it-- ze FINALE.  This is the last of the posts in the Beach Bum Letter series. It's been fun.  *Just gonna say sorry in advance for taking so long to put the last three up :P*
~

Whew.  We made it.  Checked out (the maid people service thingy kinda surprised us as we were trying to get out of the condo, and then?

We breakFEASTED at Dumser's. It's funny-- we started the trip eating there, and then we ended the trip with it...  After Dumsers, we took another long-awaited trip the the boardwalk.  (We always hit the boardwalk before we leave town.)

It was amazing.  By far, the best day on the whole vacation ever.  I was almost super duper sad about leaving.  (You know, the part of me that wasn't numbed by various family shenanigans...)

We paid the famous Trimper's Rides and Amusements a visit... that was awesome because 1) roller coaster and 2) this thing called the "Zipper".  The pictures below may give you a better idea of how they work.... :P

The Tidal Wave! I wish I could say these are my pictures... but they're not.  Thanks, Google.
The view from the top is amazing... it faces the city, so you can see like, 10 blocks up the city strip!

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd then the Zipper:
Wild looking thing, eh?   Those things are basically cages you sit in-- as the whole thing moves, the individual car flips/spins freely with the momentum... :D.

After getting our fix of adrenaline, we went souvenir shopping.  I got this REALLY SOFT and REALLY COMFORTABLE ROYAL BLUE OC MD SWEATSHIRT :D.

HA yeah I don't even have muscles.   Or a good laptop camera, apparently XD
We also stopped into a fudge shop.  Jessica's Fudge Shop, to be exact.  First of all, it smelled AMAZING.  As we were browsing around and figuring out what we wanted to buy, I saw this sign on the wall behind their cash register:
XD Perfectly describes most families....
But alas.  The day came to an end.... our boardwalk parking bill was also getting to be outrageous XD  So we left.  And we left the city around 8:30ish pm.  The drive back involved a stop at Wal-Mart (where I stayed in the car and tried to blog as best I could with a faint glimmer of wireless hotspot. I then fell asleep.  The last thing I remember is thinking how good it would feel to sleep in my own bed again...

**Author's note** I ended up getting home at 5:30 AM.  I went to sleep around 6:30, when the sun was thinking about coming up.  This is due to the fact that I had to sort through our giant pile of backed up mail to find my school schedule for my classes... XD

Fun time.

xoxo
