Does scheduling a bunch of these mean I'm busy in a good way? :D
Anyways. Day 5? Leggo (:
So. Today was interesting. We got up moderately late... (We had been up partying the night before... because we're such hard core party-ers with our home cooked meals and M.A.S.H. episodes... like, seriously, turn up...) Annnnd breakfast, since we make it ourselves... for the seven of us, bagels with cream cheese and bacon and whatnot... it took a while. So breakfast was essentially like racing turtles.
After it was done, we headed down to the beach. We enjoyed that for a long while. I'm also going to say that this whole trip so far, I have spent my beach time sitting on my towel and reading that AP Lang book. I have two more to go, too.. I guess that's what you get for procrastinating the whole summer... :P. BUT ANYWAYS. The point here is, I finally finished Devil in the White City today, and I was so happy. I ended up taking a dip in the Atlantic Ocean and later, a dip in the pool (as I had mostly been sitting poolside and reading still/surfing the birdysites). So that was refreshing/rewarding/awesome.
After that I opted for a shower, seeing as the seawater/sand/chlorine was throwing off my mojo. It was then when I constructed a simple tool to help me text in the shower. I had a tough zip-lock bag kind of thing, only, it was plastic. I put my phone in there and VOILA. Ze texting in ze shower was had. It was purty awesome. I also love multitasking, so.... :P
After the showering/drying off was done, we all headed out to dinner at a delightful place called Harpoon Hanna's. It was fantastic, and I know I may have mentioned this place in a post last year but oh my goodness. They are fantabulous. Great food. Right next to the water. It's beautiful. They've got a tiki bar and the night we went happened to be Karaoke night. Towards the end of the meal, we were serenaded by some guy named Phil, singing his lungs out with the song "Mr. Mom" by Lonestar. XD Besides that, the meal was quite enjoyable. Their ribs are off the charts, and they have this thing where before you order, this girl comes around with a basket full of freshly baked bread/muffins. Raisin bread, blueberry muffins, and coconut muffins. Just gonna say right now, the coconut muffins? Yeah. They're to die for. So good.... I may or may not have finished my dinner because I had
So. with that, I'll close-- we probably have a lot coming up tomorrow... And plus. It'll be Friday! :P. Hope you are enjoying your summer-- wherever you may be. (:
xoxo
Seems like a fun time! And glad you finished your book! I know how it feels doing homework in the holiday...last time I went on a trip to Japan bringing my homework with me and I DID NOT DO ANY of it in Japan, although I did some in the Jakarta airport. I say, you're doing pretty well with school XD.
ReplyDeleteI think that ziplock bag idea is GENIUS. I hate going to the shower because then I have to stop surfing the web in my phone. So in order not to get bored during showers, I make my phone play youtube music videos so I get to listen to music while showering, LOL.

ReplyDeleteAnd lol... Only our generation would want to "not be bored" in the shower XD Oh us.... And yeah-- Go forth and try it! (: And I totally feel you-- there have been times where I take homework over holidays and I too, end up doing NONE of it. Because I'm too busy enjoying myself wherever I am. (:
