So I found this handy dandy little Q&A on one of my favorite blogs by Kendel @ Little Misadventures. She dared those reading to answer them... So. Like her, I'll only do a portion of the questions because there are LOTS of them. They basically ask you to reflect upon your year, as well as your hopes and dreams for the new one ahead. So, without further ado... A look at 2014.
- 1.What one event, big or small, are you going to tell
your grandchildren about? Well. There are lots of things I could tell my
grandchildren... but perhaps I could tell them about the times I partied
just a bit too hard...
- 2.If you had to describe your 2014 in 3 words, what
would they be? Different.
Exciting. Stressful.
- 3.What new things did you discover about yourself? I discovered that I have been way too focused on
achieving perfection. And that I was a fool for trying.
- 4.What single achievement are you most proud of? Getting a job. College don't pay for itself.
(;
- 5.What was the best news you received? The fact that my grandfather's various heart procedures
pulled through.
- 6.What was your favourite place that you visited in
2014? Probably Massanutten, VA when I went skiing with J.
It was amazing, I learned to ski, and I got to share it all with him
^-^
- 7.Which of your personal qualities turned out to be the
most helpful this year? Definitely my ability to throw things together last
minute... Seeing as I'm one to procrastinate.. whoops... :P
- 8.Who was your number one go-to person that you could
always rely on? Seeing as I am a crazy human and need people under me
to keep me together sometimes... I'd say it's a tie between my Mom
*always* and J.
- 9.Which new skills did you learn? I learned how to play Battle Block Theatre, Dota,
become in-tune with my improv skills, and how to write an essay that
withstands my English teacher's wrath.
- 10.What, or who, are you most thankful for? My family. Always. Even the drama.
Sometimes you don't know what you have until you almost lose it, and
I'm so thankful I have gotten to hold on longer.
- 11.If someone wrote a book about your life in 2014,
what kind of genre would it be? A comedy, love story, drama, film noir or
something else? It would honestly be a romantic comedy drama.
That's my life, actually. Don't see that changing. XD
- 12.What was the most important lesson you learnt in
2014? To trust myself. Believe in what I know and what
I stand for. Doubting yourself too much isn't a good thing.
- 13.Which mental block(s) did you overcome? "Perfection is attainable" is the name of
this mental block. I have jumped right over.
- 14.What 5 people did you most enjoy spending time
with?
- J (I always enjoy time spent with him <3 )
- my best friend, Andrea
- my long-distance friend now, Bill (even though I only
saw him once this year, and it was like, 2 days ago)
- my other best bud, Maddie
- a new friend, Tim
- 15.What was your biggest break-through moment
career-wise? a-hahahaha. You say that like I have a career...
Does getting a $20 tip working at a frozen yogurt place count?
If I'm feeling it, I may answer the rest of the questions as we lead up to the New Year (:
Until then, I love you all.
xoxo
