Q: What Do You Put In The Toaster?

Alright.  It's been decided.  Any food-related recipe thingies I decide to put up will now be their own series of posts titled Confection Perfections!!!  <3

This idea hit me as I was making a simple (yet sweet) snack for myself this morning.  Most of the things I post will be geared towards people with sweet teeth, just warnin' ya.  (;  BUT ANYWAYS.  Onto my newest creation-- I'm going to call it Badass Banana Bread.  And I know this has probably already been invented *shamefully googles the concept of my recipe and finds a couple thousand hits...sigh*  BUT. Do those thousand hits have a name like this?! HA.   So without further ado, I will teach you how to make this simple-made-in-under-five-minutes yet savory snack!

Stephanie's

Badass Banana Bread!

Okay. So I might as well let you know the bread itself is not actually banana... but rather, this treat is BANANAS on BREAD :D Heh.  Anyways.

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • 1 banana for every two slices of standard bread
  • Bread (any kind works... I imagine wheat would taste awesome but I used white here)
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Butter
  • A toaster
  • *optional* whipped cream and microwave
WHAT TO DO TO ACHIEVE THE AWESOME OUTCOME:
  • First, determine how many slices of bread you'd like, and then toast the corresponding number.
  • After you have successfully toasted the bread, put some butter/margarine on the toast.
  • Take the banana(s) you grabbed and chop them into pieces like shown above.
  • Lay them in any arrangement you wish on the buttered toast pieces (I made a circle thingy of seven pieces because that's all that would fit.
  • Next, sprinkle on some cinnamon sugar.
  • If you'd like this treat warm, simply stick it in the microwave after adding the cinnamon sugar for a little bit until the bananas are warm and the butter is somewhat melted.
  • (PSSSST!  if you want to make things SWEETER, (like, as in, make this more of a dessert thing) feel free to go a la mode, add whipped cream, and/or chocolate sauce!  I'm pretty sure Nutella--or any hazelnut spread--would also be wonderful as well if you're not a fan of butter!)
  • And voila!  There you have it!  Probably not the healthiest snack, but it sure cured my sweet tooth and in a hurry!

And oh.  If you look at the title of this post, hopefully your answer was not "toast"
but rather, "bread" (;  Just keepin' you guys on your toes!

xoxo
