Letters From a Beach Bum: Day 8

Woooooooo happy Sunday!

So today was great.  Woke up late... Like, really late.  This is mostly because I stayed up until 6am last night.  Yeah.  I'm hard core.  I saw the sun rise.  Purty spectacular.  We then headed to the beach, where I read a lot (see a pattern here?) and then to the pool....

This pool experience was different.  I was unplugged (tried not to worry about social media) and I put the books down for a while.  The result? A heart-to-heart with my mom, with me sitting on the side, legs dangling in and her, in the water floating around.  It was nice.  I told her things I've kept inside for a while... and it was kind of a relieved feeling afterwards.  We stayed at the pool until after dark (purty lights :D ) and then headed up to the condo.  There we had yet ANOTHER home cooked meal (WOO MAMA YOU ON A ROLL) ...(it's also funny because we had rolls XD) and some delicious icecream afterwards.  I was then surprised with a Skype call from my best friend who is currently in Alaska.  It was nice.  I hadn't talked to her in a while, and I missed her <3 She told me she's leaving to go back to VA tomorrow, so I feel like when I'm done with my vacation I can see her soon (:  The time difference was purty gnarly... I stayed up until like 3 something in the morning talking to her, while over where she was, it wasn't even 11pm yet.  Or something like that.  After a while we said our ciao's and headed off to sleepydreamland.

MONDAY is supposedly when all the action's gonna take place--  because it's supposed to rain, we're gonna try and do other things beside the beach, like eat at this fantastic place called Paul Revere's, and then possibly stroll the boardwalk (between rain showers, of course (; )
