One Last Resolution... And A New Year's Dare. That's Right. ....You Heard Me.

I've got one last resolution I want to add....

-"Unfilter" my life.  This girl said it best when she was talking about filtered lives.  For me, it's got a lot to do with appearances... For a while, I guess, you could say I got addicted to makeup.  XD Some people get addicted to shopping, some get addicted to alcohol... Well.. not me.  Not alcohol, at least (;

But I remember my mom saying a while ago... and some guy at my church.  Mostly the guy at my church.  

"Why do you wear makeup?" he asked.
"Because it's fun!" It's totally not because I may have a slightly annoying self-conscious voice in my head trying to fit myself into a seemingly impossible to reach standard set by the Perfects of society... no way...
"..you don't need it.."  Whell, thank ya kindly.  There's a confidence boost...
And my mom, I know she's heavily biased... I mean, you wouldn't call your daughter flat out ugly, would you?   I mean, I'm sure that probably (very sadly-- I wish it didn't) happens somewhere someplace in some girl's broken heart somewhere... but I'd hope not...
So I thought about what they said, and I decided.  This year, I'm going to feel good in my skin.  I'm going to break my outer shell, and be a little less plastic.  It's annoying, in a way, being trapped behind a mask that isn't really... whell... you.  

Today, in my haste for getting ready for school, I took a pass on the makeup.  My usual, anyways.  I put the teensiest bit of foundation on my cheeks to make it look like I didn't have sunburn, but... Other than that, it was like I was naked.  One of my friends said I looked "...different."  I tried not to look at myself in my locker mirror.  I didn't want any negative thoughts. 

And you know what?  

It was refreshing.  I didn't have to worry "oh no, is my mascara smudged? are my lips too red? is my eyeliner being annoying?"

**Plus.. on a side note.. it's a lot awesomer wearing no makeup if you like kissing if you know what I mean (;**

No one cared (that much) and plus, I think my skin needed a break.  I'm one of those types that is lazy and doesn't take her makeup off before going to sleep... and that probably isn't the best thing.  

So we'll try this for a while.  I just want to get a level of confidence back... And I guess I want people to see me, not my mask.

I want to see if I can go all of January without the wearing of makeup.  Extensive, at least.
Lip balm's good, and if you HAVE to cover some really red or prominent blemishes, then... go ahead.  I mean, if you think you look like a troll (lol sorry! You're not trolls.. I'm just trying to make a point here... XD but no offense intended, guys) then feel free to do what you can to look more like a cute and natural troll (; 

I'll post a picture now, and perhaps every week.No gimmicks-- No filters, no editing, no enhancements.

 I apologize now if I forget to post.... But I'll still be doing the dare (;
