ONE REPUBLIC / THE SCRIPT! :D :D :D

Oh my wow.

So.... because life is rather crazy, I had to travel back in time to write this post.

...Just kidding.  It's scheduled (;  But I bet I had a bunch of y'all fooled there for a couple seconds....

ANYWAYS.  Allow me to fill you in on the amazing things that happened on Friday!!

The day started with me, waking up rather early (ehhhhhhh not the easiest after going to bed at like, 1AM the night before... but YODO.  (And yes, I mean YODO.  More on that later when I talk about One Republic (; )
Usual morning routine.... breakfast of kings: yogurt and random cereal, lightning shower (thank god blow dryers exist) and then about an average  fun-filled energizing walk to J's house.  (We were going to meet up kinda early to fit in a BattleBlock date before our various events (; )  Well.  As previously mentioned in this post, I was on board for a mini golf outing with J and his grandparents that morning.  They arrived around 11AM (we had plenty of time to play video games XD) and we headed out to a place nearby with a quaint little course.  It was hot.  There were mini lighthouses everywhere; one on each hole we played.  I think there were 19 holes....  We had decided to play as teams, with J and I one a team against his grandparents.
We won.  J's four consecutive hole-in-ones (he's...scary sometimes XD) definitely helped us achieve that victory.  Even at the end of all the holes, J was only one over par... XD  After our golfing excursion, we headed over to the Red Robin to replenish our strength.  I had a delicious wrap and a way-too-salty salted caramel milkshake (which I split with J).  We headed back to his place for some more BattleBlock Theatre (it's such a great addicting gaaaammmmmeee ahhhhhh) and waited for his dad to come home.  Upon his arrival we hopped in the car and drove to Bristow.

Annnnnd this is the exciting part.  The fun part of the post that you've been waiting for ever since you laid eyes on the title.  :D  We arrived at Jiffy Lube live.  The parking lot was cram-packed with cars, and we had a bit of a walk to the entrance of the venue.  Upon entering, we heard the loud playing of the opening band, which I don't even know the name of.... But they played an American Authors song, so it might have been them... who knows :P
3 frozen lemonades and a bratwurst hot-doggy thing later, we headed to our seats.  We waited there for a bit, and THEN.  THESE LOVELY GENTLEMEN took the stage.

They were so Irish and fun... they played basically all of their popular songs, including "Nothing", "For The First Time", "Man Who Can't Be Moved", "Hall of Fame" and "Falling To Pieces/Break Even".  It was so good (:  I'll probably end up putting so much of their music on my music/video page.

And then.

Came my favourite part of the show.

I personally love their everything. I saw them last summer and I was so psyched/glad/lucky to see them again!  Their show, their vocals, their fun-ness... their instruments... EVARYTHING.  It was fantastic.  They played so many songs... so much of their popular stuff... "Secrets", "Apologize", "Counting Stars", "Love Runs Out", "Good Life" and others.  Some were more obscure, but if you have their albums, they're not that obscure (;  One song, called "Something I Need" features the lyrics

"You've got something I need
In this world full of people, there's one killing me
If we only die once
I wanna die with youuuuuuu"

So apparently, YODO.  You only die once.  (;

It was a great show, and, because I ended up leaving my purse in J's car, I used J's phone to take a lot of pictures (which I'll promptly put on the blog as soon as I get them (;  ).

I feel badly, though... J hadn't really been feeling whell a couple days leading up to the concert, and he had aches and a sore throat during the concert.  I promptly smuggled him some Motrin between acts ( ;) )  and he was able to make it the rest of the night.  He's a trooper.  <3

The concert, supposedly starting at 7PM, didn't really end until 11PMish.  We didn't leave until about half after due to the fact that we couldn't quite remembered where we had parked the car... XD   J and I fell asleep on the way home-- I remember waking up only as we were nearing my house (his dad dropped me off back at my place).  

It was a fantastic night though, and I fell asleep exhausted and happy.
