Resisting The Urge To Title This Post "Dirty Lemonade"...

Ah, summer.

A time where "haven't posted in a while" means not posting only for a week or a couple days.  ...Unless I'm kind of a freak or something and I post too frequently (hopefully you guys aren't sick of me yet..? Lol...)

This week has kinda flown... Tuesday was a blob of nothingness... staying home and not doing anything (yay! Look at that productive Stephanie go!)

Wednesday was the day.  That big picnic that my friend hosted near the park.  It was fun-- I got to see people I haven't seen in a while.  However.....I'm not Miss Manners or anything, but... just a pseudo-party throwing hosting-ish tip: Don't leave your guests alone in a picnic pavilion while you go off in the woods and do whatever-it-is-lusty-teenagers-do with your boyfriend.  But we still managed to have fun-- it was a potluck-ish event.  I brought "dirt lemonade" and whole grain fun health-nut tortilla chips. (Wondering what dirt lemonade is?  Yeah.  Thought so.  Click here and be enlightened.)  J brought meatballs marinated in this really good barbecue sauce... We walked there together earlyish in the morning, and went back to his house afterwards.  It was there that our BattleBlock Theatre date commenced.

BattleBlock Theatre Intro wooooo

This picture was so cute I just had to put it... XD

Great game.  Fun co-op.  Even more fun story mode and narration.  And it's fun to play, except for the fact that I kind of suck.  It must be frustrating for J, considering he's like, a gaming genius and just a genius in general, and I can't even do a simple jump from one block to another... But I guess I can learn, and get better with practice.
The night ended with a minor breakdown, an invitation to go mini-golfing with J and his grandparents, and a bike ride in the rain.  Fun stuff.

Today consisted of waking up at like, 2pm.  That just may be the latest I've ever gotten up in the history of Stephanie Getting Ups.  I didn't do anything until around 5pm.. I feel so lazy... I even contemplated doing some work but I just... wasn't feeling it.  I know, I have to get it done eventually...  Later in the afternoon I went to see my friend Andrea.  I didn't take anything on my bike ride.  No phone, no iPod, no anything.  Just me and my bike and my fit body (HAHA yeah right.)  We went to get froyo and then rented a movie.  That movie?  The Vow.  Channing Tatum (yum!)  and Rachel McAdams. (SHE WILL FOREVER BE REGINA GEORGE TO ME.  ...And therefore make it kinda hard to take the movie seriously! XD)  *SPOILER ALERT-ISH IN THIS NEXT SENTENCE*  I'm sorry, but, honestly, she should have gotten her memory back.  It would have been so good... but I guess life (and the human brain) don't work like that.  I cried.  Kind of a lot.  It's a sad and sweet movie... and I honestly hope that my future married life can be as awesome (if not awesomer) as that. *Fangirl sigh/swoon*

Tomorrow.  Oh my wow tomorrow.  As previously mentioned, I'll be going on a mini-golf excursion with J and his grandparents in the morning, and then do some serious rocking out later in Bristow at the ONE REPUBLIC / THE SCRIPT CONCERT!! :D  WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
(I'm not the least bit excited; you can tell... ^)  Last summer, I had the awesome opportunity to see One Republic at Wolf Trap.  It was purty phenomenal.

So hopefully tomorrow shall be filled with fun-ness and memorymake-esque.  (:

...annnnd I gotta run because my dogs are randomly chewing on newspapers.  Here's to an awesome end of the week, and I hope you guys are enjoying life!

xoxo
